Anthony Perkins, born April 4, 1932, and died September 12, 1992, was an American actor. He starred in numerous films and television shows throughout his career. Perkins is best known for his role as Norman Bates in Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho (1960), a performance that earned him a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award nomination. In 1983, he directed the film Psycho II, a sequel to the original Psycho film.
